Some of the best work happens before you decide what you're making. Make Your Mark is a mark-making experience inspired by Cy Twombly — an evening built around instinct, gesture, and letting go of the need to make something "good." No drawing skill required, and nothing here is a class. You'll loosen up through a series of simple prompts, working large and fast on paper — building marks, not finished drawings. Partway through, we'll shift into kinetic mark making: using water-soluble oil pastels and polished stones pushed across the page. The repetitive, physical motion is designed to quiet the planning part of your brain and let a more intuitive one take over — so what ends up on the paper comes from instinct, not intention. It's a loosening-up kind of evening — take in the art on the walls, sip a beverage, move around the table, and meet the people making beside you. Everyone takes their work home.
